Now that presidential aspirants, namely Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka have been nominated to face the incumbent President Mwai Kibaki, the Kamatusa-the Kalenjin, Maasai, Turkana and Samburu Association-tribal group has come to lime light.
Kamatusa, on behalf of "Garfield" a.k.a. Cabinet minister Kipruto Kirwa, have pledged to fight on for Kipruto to become Kibaki's running mate.
The move being spearheaded by Keiyo South MP, Mr Nicholas Biwott, would see Kanu sponsor parliamentary and civic candidates.
"We want the Kalenjin to unite and stick to the former ruling party as a bargaining power with a political party that will form the next Government.

Now, what will Kibaki do with Uncle Moody, the current VP? Moody Awori is an eloquent fella who has maintained substance throughout his VP-ship. To tell Luhyas that Awori will be evicted out of his premises will wreak havoc in this community that already feel "played" following the recent ODM nominations where their home boy Musalia Mudavadi lost to Raila Odinga by significant number of votes.
With the former all powerful Biwott Arap Total man lurking in the shadows, spells doom for Kibaki, Musyoka and Raila. Biwott, even without Moi, is singly able to manipulate the destination of the Kalenjin-basically the Rift Valley- vote. This leaves Kibaki in a VP choice limbo. Kibaki has to decide whether Rift Valley earthquakes shall supercede Western province's tremors.
